Cedarwood

Have you tried dōTERRA Cedarwood oil yet? Often referred to as Cedar oil, this essential oil is both unique and useful. With a warm, woody aroma, Cedarwood oil possesses cleansing and soothing properties that make it useful for promoting healthy-looking skin, soothing the mind and body, cleaning around the house, or promoting a calm environment in any room. Cedarwood is also extremely useful for repelling insects both inside and outside.

I love incorporating Cedarwood into my diffuser blends because of oils warm, inviting scent. I often mix Cedarwood oil with other warm oils like Cinnamon and Sandalwood. It also blends well with floral oils like Patchouli and Jasmine, or citrus oils like Bergamot and Lime. Here are two of my favorite Cedarwood essential oil diffuser blends:

Alpine Awakening diffuser blend
2 drops Bergamot oil
1 drop Cedarwood oil
2 drops Wintergreen oil

California Coast diffuser blend
2 drops Frankincense oil
2 drops Cedarwood oil
1 drop Rosemary oil
2 drops Wild Orange oil

Wild Orange

Wild Orange oil is one of dōTERRA’s most popular oils—and with good reason! Not only does Wild Orange oil have a variety of uses, but its invigorating, energizing aroma is hard to resist.

One of my favorite ways to use Wild Orange is to add a few drops to my drinking water for a flavorful beverage. I also love to combine a few drops of Wild Orange oil with water in a spray bottle and use the mixture as an all-purpose spray for cleaning the surfaces around my home.

As a citrus oil, Wild Orange has cleansing properties that make it useful for purifying surfaces like countertops and tables throughout the home. Not only do I love having clean surfaces, but the all-purpose spray leaves behind a lovely citrus aroma! With chemical components that can help improve the appearance of skin, Helichrysum oil is a smart addition to any skin care regimen. One of the greatest benefits of Helichrysum oil is that it provides a safe, natural way to improve your skin. Melaleuca (Tea Tree)

Melaleuca, also known as Tea Tree oil, is one of my favorite doTERRA essential oils because it is versatile and has range of applications. What I love most about Melaleuca is its benefits for the skin and hair. I often put a drop or two of Melaleuca into my moisturizer, or even directly on my face after washing to reap the benefits of this purifying, toning essential oil. I also like to place a few drops of Melaleuca in my shampoo, or give myself a scalp massage with Melaleuca and Fractionated Coconut Oil.

Lemon

The invigorating scent of Lemon essential oil from a true Sicilian lemon revitalizes your mind and lifts your mood. Lemon essential oil contains numerous health benefits and can be used for a variety of purposes on a daily basis, which is why it is one of doTERRA’s most popular essential oils.

The high limonene content found in this essential oil makes it a powerful antioxidant and a cleansing agent. In the ancient world, Egyptians used lemon oil to cleanse their bodies of toxins. It also aids in digestion, supports healthy respiratory function, and provides immune system support, especially during seasonal changes.

Lavender

Lavender oil is one of the most popular doTERRA essential oils because of its light, powdery aroma, and its myriad of uses for everyday life. Taken from the highly aromatic lavender flower, lavender oil has been used for centuries for its distinct aroma and powerful benefits. Whether you need to soothe the occasional skin irritation, ease feelings of tension, or promote restful sleep, lavender oil has many practical uses.*

On Guard - Protective Blend

On Guard! This is one of my favorite oils not just because of the powerful benefits it brings to my family (think AirBorne on steroids) but because it smells so good! Imagine a warm mug of Cinnamon, Clove, and Orange tea...yeah, it rocks ;) Diffusing On Guard along with Wild Orange and Lemon creates a warm and cozy scent that uplifts my family and boosts their immune system at the same time. Both of our daughters have a tube of On Guard Beadlets in their backpack. Each beadlet is 1/4 of a drop of On Guard essential oil. To support a healthy immune system, they take one in the morning with breakfast and one at dinner. On Guard is one of the most popular oils blends dōTERRA produces because of its wide range of therapeutic properties including: anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-microbial, antioxidant, and anti-fungal to name a handful :)
