ABOUT BE WELL [EO]

It's been said when a woman walks into a room that most men take note that a woman has walked into the room. Thanks Captain Obvious! Women, on the other hand, take approximately 4.3 seconds to make a mental judgement about her from head to toe and back up again, just to be sure nothing was missed. Scan complete. Judgement made. 

What if, when we entered a room we BACKED IN? It would be harder to judge, wouldn't it? The initial response would probably be one of confusion followed by either discomfort or amusement. Who is this person? Why are they acting so weird? Please don't be mentally unstable. Am I dreaming right now??

Let me tell you what they're NOT thinking...they're not sizing her up. They're not comparing her to the last person who just walked through the door backwards. Because who the h*ll walks through doors backwards? The observer is paused, waiting either for a social cue from a peer, or waiting for an explanation.
